#EatingForYourFace: My Morning Routine

Every night your body works to repair damage and detox harmful toxins. After a long night of working on your behalf, your body deserves a healthy morning routine. Waking up at-least two hours before I have to WFH has made a huge improvement to my overall mood. After years of trying different things I finally found the routine that made waking up feel like a spa treatment and not a chore. 

Here is my routine : 

6:30 A.M. - I usually wake up early so I can feel like I have some time to meditate or practice yoga. After yoga I splash my face with cool water followed by Fresh Rose Toner. I'll do a once over my face with an ice cube if I'm feeling puffy. 

7:00 A.M. - Once I make my way downstairs, I drink a glass of room temperature water followed by citrus mint tea - here is my recipe:

1 cup of distilled filtered water 

1 tbs of lemon juice 

A few mint leaves 

A drizzle of honey 

7:30 A.M. - Once I'm finally awake (because I can do this routine half-sleep) I like to make a big smoothie to get me through the first round of morning meetings. I found that intermittent fasting works best for me but you have to find whats best for you. Here is my fav go-to smoothie recipe:

1 cup of coconut water (you can substitute this for water) 

1 Sambazon Unsweetened Açai Smoothie Pack 

1 handful of spinach 

1 cup of strawberries 

1/2 cup of pineapples 

8:00 A.M. - By this time I'm opening emails, and getting ready for my day. If I'm going to be on zoom calls I take Velvet Superfood Face Oil  and mix it with a few drops of YSL Touché Eclait All-In-One Glow in shade B50 to create a smooth even tone. Follow that with a dab of NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush on my cheeks for some extra color and I'm ready to take on the world!
